Today’s Farmer Spreadsheet Tip is about anchoring cells.
Anchoring cells in a formula ensures that you are referring to the right cells when you reuse the same formulas elsewhere in your spreadsheet.
I’ve referenced anchoring cells a couple times in previous Farmer Spreadsheet Tips, and some viewers have been asking me to talk more about how anchoring works. I’ve also been asked a couple times, how to quickly anchor cells when editing formulas.
This tip responds to both those requests!
Being comfortable anchoring cells is key to speeding up your work building spreadsheets.
This Farmer Spreadsheet Tip was originally recorded as a Facebook Live and then edited a bit to create the final product.
That’s right, there is now a Farmer Spreadsheet Academy facebook page!
I am aiming to present the next couple Farmer Spreadsheet Tips as Facebook Lives.
I haven’t quite settled on a regular time slot but it will likely be on Wednesday or Thursday around 7pm. I’ll keep you posted!
If you have any spreadsheet questions or concerns, please leave a comment or contact me!
