On the edge of Celosia delirium

Here’s a September picture of Celosia.

Freshly cut from the field just before the frost. The first black fat seeds had just started to appear on the combs and plumes.

The plants were now spread out on tarps in the greenhouse.

If you pay too much attention to watching the seed ripen, the excitement can drive you to distraction. To bursts of frenetic emotion and energy.

Kind of a like a couple of kids that live in our house who are currently on the edge of holiday delirium.

Who probably shouldn’t eat another candy cane, but don’t worry, they’ve already stripped the tree bare so that won’t be an issue.

And what you need as you wait for Christmas, is what you need when you grow seed.

Some patience and faith in time and in the way of things.
