The Complete Book Of Garlic by Ted Jordan Meredith
In my corner of the world, when you go to a farmers market, garlic usually means Music garlic – those big white bulbs with 4-6 spicy cloves.
Music is definitely a reliable garlic in a cold Canadian climate.
But it is not the only garlic out there.
If you’re feeling garlic curious – because you want to broaden your market offerings, or you want to explore new garlic flavours, or simply because you have the need to grow all the things in your fields – then the Complete Book of Garlic is for you.
My favourite part of the book is the Chapter on Garlic Groups + Cultivars with pictures and descriptions of the 10 different garlic horticultural groups. This chapter alone will get you set up with everything you need to know about garlic diversity.
And the rest of the book is also great – packed with growing information, and diseases, and garlic chemical composition.
If you want to see that garlic isn’t just garlic, this book is for you!

My next free online workshop is on Thursday April 14 at 2pm Eastern …
Where can we buy this book? I can’t find it anywhere in bookstore. I can only find it on amazon for 400$ and over…
Unfortunately, it seems the book is currently out of print.
It’s a shame because it is a wonderful resource.
