These are my skunk radishes.
They came out of a cross of watermelon radish and black radish and some long radishes.
The Skunk radishes are actually the ones with black on top and white on bottom.
We cut a slit into each radish to see the insides and then sorted all the radishes based on their colours.
We potted up groups of radishes into 3” pots so they can establish some roots before they will go to the field next week.
In the meantime, they are hiding under the greenhouse benches out of the sun. This is their first day out of the cold room and we don’t want it to be too much of a shock!
My next free online workshop is on Thursday May 19 at 2pm Eastern …
It will be about harvest efficiency – more details coming soon!
