Crushing peppers for seed

This is the Millet Wet Seed Separator.

We mainly use this to crush tomatoes and peppers to extract their seeds. Here were using it for peppers.

We feed the peppers into the hopper.

(Make sure not to cut through the center of the fruit where the seeds are.)

The Millet crushes the fruit up and spits peppers chunks and loose seeds

Water blasts the seeds through the grate into a waiting bin + chunks into a separate bin.

We often run the chunks through a second time to make sure we got all the seed.

We pour off the juice and lighter seeds and floating bits.

We collect the seed into a colander.

But it sure is nice when you’re crushing a lot of peppers!

My next free online workshop will be later in October ..
